Incentive Structure and the TUCE

Pages 107-110 | Published online: 15 Jul 2014

Abstract

Do students score higher on the TUCE if the score is a determinant of course grade? Wehrs reports on the results of an experiment designed to measure the impact of course grade incentive on student performance. The results indicate that students score higher when the TUCE is a graded course requirement, and the author discusses the implications of this finding with regard to experimental design and using norms to evaluate TUCE performance.
