Improving Classroom Discussion in Economics Courses

Pages 40-49 | Published online: 14 Jul 2014

Abstract

There are probably few areas in which teachers of economics can profit more than in raising the level of discussion within their classrooms. This is examined by Hansen within the context of the goals for the course, the choice of material for discussion, the preparation of questions, and the responsibility of discussion leaders. A discussion critique sheet is included for evaluation purposes.
