Design Issues in the Performance-Based Curriculum

Abstract

Performance-based curriculum designs are becoming more widely visible in social work education. This article describes the major features of the designing and develops and responds to a set of related curriculum issues. Issues discussed concern the emphasis on skill objectives, the place of student and faculty individuation and creativity, the integration of learning experiences, and the assessment of performance.
