Abstract

Students admitted to the graduate social work program after three years of undergraduate education were compared with students admitted after attaining an undergraduate degree. Comparisons were made at completion of the MSW program and a year after graduation. Nine different measures were used to test knowledge, attitudes, and skills. Results indicated that of 98 different comparisons, only 6 achieved statistical significance. This paper concludes that time in training can be manipulated without serious adverse effects.
