Pages 84-90 | Published online: 30 Jul 2013

Abstract

The value base of social work has long been a foundation of professional education. Research to date on social work values as a facet of the educational process has focused primarily on students in graduate schools of social work. This article examines the literature and research on values in terms of the implications for teaching values at the baccalaureate level and suggests instructional strategies that are compatible with the valuing process.
