Abstract
A survey of recent MSW graduates sheds some light on the types of jobs that they obtained early in their careers. Data indicates that recent MSW graduates moved into administrative support positions early in their professional careers. The expanded role of the BSW provides an opportunity to develop an enriched two-year MSW in terms of practice competencies, particularly administration, as an alternative to the current trend toward advanced placement and a shortened MSW.
