Abstract
An exploratory-descriptive design was employed to ascertain the relationship between demographic variables and attitudes toward women's professional achievement among 343 students in a master's degree social work program and alumni from two classes. Data were collected by means of a mailed questionnaire containing fixed-alternative questions. The attitudinal vignette did not elicit significant differences between male and female attitudes; however, findings did indicate that females had lower salary expectations than males. Also, respondents whose major concentration was in community organization had higher salary expectations than did those in other major concentrations.
