Abstract
This article reports the results of a study on malpractice insurance for social work students. The study implies that a majority of schools are in an exploratory stage on the issue—seeking further answers. A summary of the current status in law regarding malpractice also is presented. The article suggests that with the knowledge of what other schools are thinking and doing, combined with a legal perspective, schools will be better able to establish a policy regarding malpractice insurance for practicum students.
