Dr Melanie Brooks is a Senior Lecturer in Educational Leadership in the Faculty of Education at Monash University and Co-Director for the UCEA Center for the International Study of School Leadership. She is a J. William Fulbright Senior Scholar grant recipient to the Philippines and has conducted research in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, the United States, and Egypt. Her areas of expertise include Islamic education, religious extremism and education, school leadership, and qualitative research methodology.
