Another Decade of Research in Handwriting: Progress and Prospect in the 1970s

Abstract

This review of the research related to handwriting represents a second effort to reflect upon the progress made during a preceding decade. Using the research directions originally identified by Herrick and Okada early in the 1960s, Askov, Otto, and Askov in 1970 summarized the research in handwriting of that decade. In 1980 we are examining the research generated in the 1970s to study the progress made during that decade and the prospect of handwriting research in the future.
