Abstract
This study examines whether or not onsite measurement of “escape physical stress” needs differs from later offsite measures for a population of steelhead anglers. Measures were taken onsite and 4 months later in a mail survey. Results showed a negligible effect due to time of administration but a sizable effect due to a subject by time interaction implying low comparability between onsite and offsite measures. Methodological and conceptual explanations are offered.
