Negotiating in a World of Change: Ecofeminist Guideposts for Leisure Scholarship

Pages 39-56 | Published online: 13 Feb 2018

Abstract

The changing global society indicates that issues such as relationships between humans and between humans and nature, socio-economic conditions, resistance, and justice are relevant to the philosophy and praxis of leisure and recreation. This paper applies the definitional concepts and eight minimal conditions of an ecofeminist philosophy developed by Warren (1990) to explore current leisure scholarship and open new directions to respond to today's challenges.
