ABSTRACT
An engineering analysis of a domestic size microwave clothes dryer for domestic and commercial laundromat applications is made. Theory, together with preliminary experiments, show that the operational cost of the machine is no more than 35% and operating time no more than 13% of conventional dryers under thermal equilibrium conditions. Design equations and charts for a microwave dryer are given.
