Abstract

This study compared the effect of displaced lateral vision upon performance of a gross motor task in field-dependent and field-independent female athletes. No meaningful distinction in motor performance between the two groups of subjects was apparent during initial and final normal vision conditions. However, field-independent subjects performed the criterion task with significantly greater accuracy during the displaced-vision condition.
