A revision of Latopilumnus Türkay & Schuhmacher, Citation1985, and Aniptumnus Ng, Citation2002 (Crustacea: Decapoda: Brachyura: Pilumnidae) with larval comparisons

Abstract

Latopilumnus Türkay & Schuhmacher, Citation1985, is redefined. Pilumnus malardi De Man, Citation1914, Pilumnus truncatospinosus De Man, Citation1914, Parapilumnus tuberculosus Garth & Kim, Citation1983, and Parapilumnus guinotae Deb, Citation1987, are all referred to Latopilumnus. Parapilumnus nefissurus Garth & Kim, Citation1983, is assigned to Aniptumnus. A new species in both Latpopilumnus and Aniptumnus from Hong Kong and Vietnam, respectively, are described. The first stage zoeas of the new Latopilumnus species and Aniptumnus quadridentus (De Man, Citation1895) are described and compared.
