Abstract
Earthworm specimens collected from Korea consist of 12 new species of pheretimoid earthworms, Amynthas cucullatus sp. nov., A. dabudongensis sp. nov., A. laceratus sp. nov., A. quinqueconvexus sp. nov., A. baekamensis sp. nov., A. conferticurtus sp. nov., A. sonjaesiki sp. nov., A. tabulatus sp. nov., A. calculatus sp. nov., A. acinus sp. nov., A. pyeongchangensis sp. nov. and A. ani sp. nov. In Sims and Easton (Citation1972), A. dabudongensis belongs to the morrisi-group; A. lacerates, A. quinqueconvexus and A. baekamensis belong to the canaliculatus-group; A. conferticurtus belongs to the pomellus-group; A. sonjaesiki belongs to the tokioensis-group; A. calculatus, A. acinus and A. pyeongchangensis belong to the bournei-group; and A. ani belongs to the rimosus-group. Descriptions of the new species are provided, including illustrations of ventral view and spermathecae.
