Two Chinese species, Crossodonthina hainana Xiong et al., Citation2005 and C. tiantongshana Xiong et al., Citation2005, are redescribed in detail on the basis of reexamining the types and other specimens collected from the type locality during the present study. More characters are described and figured, such as the labrum, labium, antenna, leg and ventral chaetotaxy of abdominal segments I–VI. Corrections are made to the original description and figures on mandible, maxilla, macrosetal structure, body dorsal tubercles and chaetotaxy.
