Summary
The essential data of all the known species of the genus Protogamasellus are given. Two new subspecies of P. primitivus sens. lat., viz. similis and machadoi, and four new species, viz. dispar, bifurcalis, brevicornis and scuticalis, are described and figured. A male belonging to the genus is described for the first time.
A key to the species of the genus known from the Ethiopian Region, is given.
