Copepoda parasitic on Australian fishes IX. Family Chondracanthidae

Pages 497-507 | Published online: 17 Feb 2007

Summary

Two members of the family Chondracanthidae (Copepoda) are described from Australian fishes. One of them (Pseudoblias lyrifera) has been described briefly by Heegaard (1962), the other (Neobrachiochondria quadrata) is new to science and is considered to be the type species of a new genus. The morphological characteristics of both species are discussed and illustrated.
