Some helminths of the volcano rabbit Romerolagus diazi, including a description of the nematode Teporingonema cerropeladoensis gen. nov., sp. nov. (Trichostrongylidae: Libyostrongylinae)

Abstract

Some helminths are recorded from volcano rabbits Romerolagus diazi, originally captured in Mexico, which died at the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust. Teporingonema cerropeladoensis, a new genus and species of trichostrongylid nematode, is described and its position within the Libyostrongylinae discussed.
