Abstract
The Stigmella betulicola group sensu Johansson, 1971 is revised. Seven European species are recognized: betulicola (Stainton), nivenburgensis (Preissecker), luteella (Stainton), glutinosae (Stainton), alnetella (Stainton), discidia sp. nov. and microtheriella (Stainton). Eight lectotypes are designated. An identification key to all species is provided. Descriptions of adults and their genitalia are given. Figures of both male and female genitalia are provided. The group has a holarctic distribution.
