Abstract
Two new species of Strandesia s.l. from southern India (state of Kerala) are described. The first, S. gopinathani sp. nov., belongs to the S. weberi-species group which consists of semi-globular taxa with a large caudal spine on the RV. The second, S. dani sp. nov., is a semi-globular species of which the entire carapace is set with spine-like setae. Both males and females of the second species were present; only a parthenogenetic population of the first species was found.
