Abstract

During a cruise with the RV Polarstern to the North East Water Polynya, off north-east Greenland, 130 species of Amphipoda (Crustacea) were collected with an epibenthic sledge. Of these, two are new taxa which are described here: a new genus and species of the family Epimeriidae, Spindlerella groenlandica gen. et sp. nov., and a new species of the Odiidae, Imbrexodius polarsterni sp. nov. The new species have been sampled in the Northern and the Westwind Troughs in depths between 178 and 330 m.
