Abstract
Ten species of lernaeid copepods are reported from freshwater fishes of Thailand. They are: Lernaea arcuata Soejanto from Puntius gonionotus (Bleeker); Lernaea cyprinacea L. from Puntius partipentazona (Bleeker) and a cyprinid; Lernaea oryzophila Monod from P. gonionotus, Cyprinus carpio L. and Gobius sp.; Lernaea polymorpha Yü from C. carpio; Lernaea taipila sp. nov. from Oreochromis mossambicus (Peter); Lamproglena chinensis Yü from Anabus testudineus Bloch; Lamproglena cirrhinae Kuang and Qian from Cirrhinus jullieni Jauvage; Lamproglena forficata Kuang from Ophiocephalus striatus Bloch; Indopeniculus fryeri Kumari, Khera and Gupta from Notopterus notopterus (Pallas); and Indopeniculus siamensis sp. nov. from an unidentified fish. A full description is given of the poorly known lernaeids as well as the two new species.
