Revision of Yelicones (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Rogadinae) from the East Palaearctic and Oriental regions with descriptions of four new species

Abstract

The braconid wasp genus Yelicones from the East Palaearctic and Oriental (India to Vietnam) Regions is revised. Eight species are recognized: Y. belokobylskiji sp. nov. (China, India, Nepal), Y. contractus Papp (India, Vietnam), Y. flavus sp. nov. (China), Y. glabromaculatus Belokobylskij (Japan and Vietnam), Y. koreanus Papp (China, Korea, Russia, Vietnam), Y. longivena sp. nov. (China, Nepal), Y. maculata Papp (China, Korea), Y. nipponensis Togashi (Japan, Korea, Nepal) and Y. pappi sp. nov. (Thailand). Y. maichauensis Belokobylskij is a new junior subjective synonym of Y. contractus. An identification key is provided and all species are illustrated.
