Abstract

Various quantities related to fission reaction induced by nucleon are calculated using the Quantum Molecular Dynamics (QMD) plus Statistical Decay Model (SDM) in the energy range 10 MeV to 10 GeV. The fission cross sections are calculated for 197Au, 209Bi and 238U and compared with experiments. The calculation predicts fairly well the experimental values. The mass distributions are calculated for 208Pb and 232Th at 1.6-GeV and 190-MeV proton incident energy, respectively. The calculation for 208Pb reproduces the experimental mass distribution well. In the 232Th case the calculation shows broader distribution than the experimental value. The average number of the prompt neutron emission per fission vp and the fission neutron spectrum χ are extracted from the QMD + SDM calculation and their incident energy dependences are shown.
