Nuclear Level Density for Nuclei with Static Deformation

Abstract

The level densities of 162Dy, 166Er and 172Yb are calculated using the microscopic theory of interacting fermions and is compared with experiment. It is concluded that the data can be reproduced with level density formalism for nuclei with static deformation.
