Radiation protection lessons learned from the TEPCO Fukushima No.1 NPS accident

I. Urabe, T. Hattori, T. Iimoto and S. Yokoyama, Radiation protection lessons learned from the TEPCO Fukushima No.1 NPS accident, J. Nucl. Sci. Technol. 2014;51:136–149.

It has recently come to the authors' attention that there are a number of errors in the published version of this paper.

In Table 2, the unit of standard radioactivity limits should be Bq/kg.

On page 145, “exposure station” is incorrect and should be revised as “exposure situation.”

In addition, on page 146, the sentence “As shown in Table 3 and 4, the public radiation doses preliminary estimated were 10 to a hundred times greater than that of the natural background during normal operations” is incorrect and should be revised as “As shown in Tables 3 and 4, the maximum public radiation dose preliminary estimated was several dozen times the natural background radiation dose during normal operations.”

The authors would like to apologize for this oversight.
