Abstract
A survey of present-day methods of taking and presentation of motion-picture films is presented from the point of view of the graininess of the projected picture. It is indicated that with given materials and screen aspect ratios the grain depends essentially only on the size of the negative and the overall degree of magnification grain negative to screen.
