The Application of Photogrammetry in I.G.Y. Glaciological Research

Abstract

A description is given of the photosurveying methods employed at the U.S.S.R. Academy of Sciences Institute of Geography in carrying out glaciological investigations. The advantages of combining aerial photography with stereophotogrammetric ground surveys are fully considered.
