Technological Advances in the Thermal Diazo Process

Abstract

Recent developments in the chemistry of thermal diazo formulations have overcome previous handicaps of poor stability and shelf life and have resulted in products of improved light sensitivity and print quality. The elimination of developing solutions and ammonia fumes, combined with equipment design utilizing new light sources and developing features, will extend the application of the diazo process, especially in the office copying and systems field.
