Abstract
A photographic emulsion was sensitized with radioactive thiosulphate, in one case with the inner sulphur, and in the other with the outer sulphur, labelled with S35. Changes in the chemical combination of the radioactive sulphur as a result of exposure to light were studied by a chromatographic technique. Conclusions about the halogen accepting and reducing properties of the sulphur compounds in the emulsion can be drawn from these investigations.
