Abstract
The resolving power of layers from binders with the photoconductor 2,5-bis-(p-diethylaminophenyl)-1,3,4-oxdiazole is a function of the binder used, the mixture ratio binder/photoconduclor, the polarity of the charge, and the depth of penetration of the irradiated light. In layers from the same molar quantities of a polymer binder with electron acceptor groups in the monomer units and a photoconductor, complexes are formed along the polymer chain along which complexes the charge carriers formed upon exposure to light are very movable. Such layers have an increased light-sensitivity, whereas the resolving power is decreased.
