Abstract
The effect of polyethylene oxide (PEO) on the growth hobit of silver iodobromide emulsion groins was investigated. Cubic (100) and tetradecahedral (100 + 111) iodobromide groins become more octahedral (111) in shope in the presence of PEO. The effect increased with increasing iodide content, while pure bromide grains were little influenced by PEO.
