Washing Monobathed FilmFootnote

Abstract

Monobath processed films take 40 seconds washing, in tap water at 12°C, to reach the level of sodium thiosulphate required for archival permanence. It is found, however, that a 60 second wash at this low temperature is necessary to avoid staining due to residual hydroquinone.
