A Calibrated Silicon Photo-Diode for Measuring and Triggering Pulsed Light Sources

Pages 232-238 | Received 01 Feb 1972, Published online: 23 Jul 2016

Abstract

A silicon photo-diode with fast response characteristics has been found useful for a number of roles in scientific and technical photography. For Xenon-flash photometry, examining camera shutter performances, and high-speed flash triggering, very simple circuitry is employed to provide reasonable accuracy with a relatively inexpensive device.
