Abstract
Flash durations havc been measured for two designs of spark light source operating with electrode, constructed of slainless steel and a lung ten-copper inlermetallic compound. It is found that the flash characteristics are controlled by the cathode and that non-confined dischargcs are of shorler duration With the laller malerial.
