The Dependence of the Activation Energy for Development on the Size of the Latent ImageFootnoteFootnote*

Abstract

Measurement of the activation energy for development of individual steps of a step-wedge exposed emulsion, in conjunction with bleaching experiments, shows how the activation energy depends on the free energy of the latent image. The effect on discrimination in development is discussed.
