Abstract
It is demonstrated that evaporated silver bromide layers can be topologically chemically sensitized by conventional emulsion methods. These lead to a considerable increa e in toe ensitivity and even more in contrast for the formation of superficial latent image, in particular for long-time exposures. The so-called chemical sensitization by Ir-Au dips at RT does not change the topography of the latent image: it still forms in the interior of the crystals, very inefficiently for long exposures at low intensity.
