Abstract

In a lecture to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Research Division of Kodak Ltd., at Harrow, the author reviews the changes in the state of the photographic sciences between 1928 and 1978. The topics considered include: sensitometry, tone reproduction and image structure, sensitivity and latent image formation, spectral sensitization, and development.-Editor.
