Abstract
The requirement and specification for an absolute monochromatic sensitometer are reviewed. The design considerations are discussed. The instrument constructed is described together with its calibration. Practical applications to fundamental investigations of photographic systems are briefly indicated and the exposures required for a range of materials are shown.
