Abstract
The concept of the influence of electric held on the photographic process is presented. It is shown that the sign and value of the held effect depend on the mean number of sensitivity centres per microcrystal of photoemulsion. A formula for the development probability of a microcrystal, exposed with the application of electric held, is proposed. It is proved that the proposed hypothesis and the experimental results take place within the limits of the Gurney-Mott theory.
