Abstract
The light fading of four different types of colour xerographic images was tested by exposure to three different light sources. Colour patches of M, C, Y images prepared from a full size copy of the Macbeth Color Checker were used as test pieces. The fading was evaluated according to colour differences (ΔE*) in L*a*b* colour space. The value of ΔE* greatly depended upon the kinds of copy and toner. Regarding the character of the fading, discolouration was strong in C image and the discolouration was equal to the fading of the colour in the M images. In the case of the Y image, the fading showed a definite effect.
