Abstract
A new family of error correction codes for digital image recording applications, generally termed Redundancy Check Code (RCC), is 4escribed in this paper. Both the fundamentals and related system design considerations of the RCC are discussed extensively. Experimental results using the MAXMIN algorithm on recorded images from a multi-channel digital magnetic recording system are presented.
