Abstract

The recombination of charge car-riers in evaporated AgBr film, dye films and sensitizing and supersensitizing systems based on AgBr film or AgBr single-crystal are analysed by the decay kinetics of Dember photovoltage for the samples. Meanwhile the temperature effect on the Dember signal decay has been studied. The activation energy of the reaction between photoelectrons and interstitial silver ions in evaporated AgBr film was about 0.07 eV. The recombination process for positive holes is discussed. It can be considered that the energy band of AgBr rises near the AgBr/dye interface.
