Abstract

The photoconductivity of a double-layered photoreceptor is discussed, where CrCIPc is used for a charge generation layer and polyvinylcarbazole (PVK) for a charge transportation layer. CrCIPc shows not only excellent charge acceptance and low rate of dark discharge but also good photosensitivity. After solvent treatment or ball milling, its photosensitivity decreases. The photoconductivities of two mixtures were studied. The results show a positive effect of an increase in photosensitivity with the CrCIPc-CuPc mixtures, but a negative effect for the CrCIPc-Fe(II)Pc mixtures.
