A Comparison of Three Types of Flash Unit Using a Sensitometric Technique

Abstract

The colour temperature variations that exist between different types of flash unit are investigated together with the variation of colour temperature and the power output of each unit. This is achieved using both a simple photographic method and a suitable meter. A systematic difference between exposure filtrations predicted using the two methods is identified and related to published sensitometric data for the film used.
