Abstract
The relationship between photographic properties, delayed luminescence and photoconductivity signal has been investigated with monodisperse cubit AgBr mkrocrystals sensitized at different pAg. The weak Ag-digestion (pAg>5.7) did not cause fog formation, although it caused an increase of the surface speed (pAg>5.7), a considerable decrease of photoconductivity signal and an increase of the luminescence intensity at 600 nm. The strong Ag-digestion (pAg<5.7) caused both an increase of the surface speed and of fog formation. An increase in photoconductivity and remarkable decrease in Iuminescence intensity were also observed.
The results indicate that the silver specks formed with weak Ag-digestion act as deep electron traps and that some of the silver specks formed with strong Ag-digestion may act as deep electron traps, while the others act as hole traps.
