Early Parental Experiences, Coping Styles, and Type a Behavior

Summary

This study examined the relationship of Type A behavior, measured by the Jenkins Activity Survey (JAS), to childhood relationships with parents and coping styles. Respondents were 47 male and 33 female MBA students. Maternal relationships were strongly correlated with JAS scores for females but not for males. Type A behavior was also related to coping style usage of females but not of males.
