Summary
This research studied the impact of organizational goals on the behavior of American black and white male managers. Sixty-four black managers, and a matched group of 64 white managers, completed the Personal Values Questionnaire developed by England. The responses were summarized by behavioral relevance and arranged in hierarchical fashion. After obtaining summary measures, a series of analyses was performed to uncover relationships between organizational goals and personal variables. The results strongly support applicability of the England model to American black male managers.
